There are over 1,200 major energy storage projects currently in the database, representing more than 89,000 MWh of capacity. The list shows that there are more than 180 GWdc of major solar projects currently operating.

How many commercial solar installations are there in the United States?

As of April 2018, there were total capacity of 2,562 MW of commercial solar installations from more than 4,000 companies in 7,400 locations. Top five corporations were Target, Walmart, Prologis, Apple, and Kohl's.

How is the list of solar projects gathered?

The information in the list was gathered from public announcements of solar projects in the form of company press releases, news releases, and, in some cases, conversations with individual developers. It is not a comprehensive list of all utility-scale projects under development.
